Congresswoman Deborah Ross (NC-02) has been elected by her colleagues to serve as the Ranking Member of the House Science, Space, and Technology Subcommittee on Energy. She also will serve on the Subcommittee on Environment.
“North Carolinians are increasingly concerned about the high cost of the energy they use to drive their cars and power their homes and businesses,” said Congresswoman Ross. “At the same time, the people of our state recognize the urgency and importance of transitioning to cleaner sources of energy as we confront the dire threat posed by climate change. I am honored to serve as Ranking Member of the Energy Subcommittee for the 119th Congress and excited to get to work with my colleagues on both sides of the aisle to find innovative solutions to these challenges. Now more than ever, it’s imperative that we work together to strengthen America’s energy independence, create the clean energy jobs of tomorrow, and ensure that we leave a more sustainable world for future generations of Americans.”
This will be Congresswoman Ross’ third term on the House Science, Space, and Technology Committee. In the 118th Congress, she served as the Ranking Member of the Environment Subcommittee.
