“Today’s meeting with the President was promising,” said Congresswoman Ross. “This package represents a historic investment in the next generation and will transform the lives of working Americans. By enacting the President’s Build Back Better agenda, we can bolster America’s families through investments in universal Pre-K, affordable and quality childcare, as well as an extension of the Child Tax Credit. This package will also provide one of the largest investments ever in combatting the climate crisis and help to close the Medicaid gap in states like North Carolina. We must rise to meet this pivotal moment and pass this historic bill for the American people.”
