Today, the U.S. House of Representatives passed a partial appropriations package for Fiscal Year 2026, including $6.2 million in federal funding for Wake County community projects secured by Congresswoman Deborah Ross (NC-02). If approved by the Senate and signed into law by the President, these projects will invest in local law enforcement, community safety, violence prevention, climate resilience, and more.

“From Raleigh to Wendell to Cary, these community projects address critical needs across Wake County,” said Congresswoman Ross. “If signed into law, this funding will deliver critical federal support to local governments, law enforcement agencies, and nonprofits that play indispensable roles in the safety and success of our community. For more than a year, Congress has failed to deliver real results for the American people. Passage of this package is a positive step forward in improving the lives of the people we were elected to serve. I will continue working hard to get these projects across the finish line.”

Last year, Congresswoman Ross submitted these eight funding requests. Below is the list of projects included in this partial appropriations package. Find information about current and previous Community Project Funding requests here.
