Today, Congresswoman Deborah Ross (NC-02) voted against opening an impeachment inquiry into President Joe Biden. After nearly a year of investigating the President and his family, House Republicans have failed to produce any evidence that President Biden has committed an impeachable offense.
Congresswoman Ross joined a press conference today with other Democratic leaders, highlighting the lack of evidence behind this baseless impeachment inquiry. Click here to access the video from the press conference.
“Today’s vote should tell you everything you need to know about House Republicans’ priorities,” said Congresswoman Ross. “Instead of sending aid to our allies, approving humanitarian assistance, or finalizing legislation to fund the federal government, Republicans are using our final legislative days this year to move forward with an unfounded impeachment inquiry based not on hard facts or clear evidence but on right-wing conspiracy theories. Republicans have already sent subpoenas, reviewed thousands of pages of documents, interviewed witnesses, and produced absolutely nothing. After a year attacking President Biden for partisan gain, it’s time to get back to the real work the American people sent us to Washington to accomplish and put the needs of our people over politics.”
