Raleigh, N.C. —Today, Congresswoman Deborah Ross (NC-02) released the following statement after a federal judge reinstated North Carolina’s 20-week abortion ban:
“This is a sad day for women in North Carolina and women across the South who have traveled to our state to receive health care in the wake of the Dobbs decision. Women should be able to make their own decisions about their own reproductive health, and this abortion ban puts women’s health and lives in jeopardy. While many of us saw this day coming after the Dobbs decision, it does not change our determination or resolve to protect reproductive freedom. I am confident women in our state will make their voices heard in November.”
