“North Carolina is perfectly positioned to lead the nation’s offshore wind industry, and this announcement is the latest step in that direction. With this new program, the Biden Administration and governors from up and down the East Coast are teaming up to accelerate the growing offshore wind industry. I’m proud that Governor Cooper is a leading voice for North Carolina in this effort and I’m excited to keep fighting at the federal and state level to fully-develop our nation's offshore wind supply chain, create jobs, and invest in our future.”
