Raleigh, NC – Today, Congresswoman Deborah Ross (NC-02) joined Wake County Sheriff’s department, Clerk of Superior Court Blair Williams, County Manager David Ellis, Housing Department Director Lorena McDowell, and Board of Commissioners Chairman Matt Calabria to discuss the eviction process, avenues for collaboration between federal, state, and local governments to navigate emergency relief assistance, and effective strategies to share relief resources to those eligible.

“I would like to thank Wake County officials and staff for their continued commitment to providing critical assistance to our residents and keeping them in their homes during this crisis,” said Congresswoman Ross. “I have been working hard in Congress to help support renters and homeowners in this critical time of need and in light of the Supreme Court’s decision ending the eviction moratorium. I look forward to continued collaboration with North Carolina state and local partners to accelerate the delivery of vital rental assistance to those in need and their landlords.”

Congresswoman Ross recently applauded the Biden administration’s efforts to prevent evictions and deliver emergency Rental Assistance and released a statement on the Supreme Court decision which put an end to the federal eviction moratorium.
