Raleigh, N.C. – Today Congresswoman Deborah Ross (NC-02) released the following statement after spending time with the Department of Transportation Secretary Buttigieg and Second Gentleman Emhoff in Raleigh:

Congresswoman Ross said, “It was an honor to welcome Secretary Buttigieg and Second Gentleman Emhoff to the district today to show them the incredible work and growth happening here in Wake County. I am fortunate to represent a dynamic, innovative district that continually draws newcomers. Our population and economy are growing, but our infrastructure has not kept up with that growth. Investments in affordable housing, safe drinking water, renewable energy, access to broadband, and efficient transportation are essential to meet the needs of our families, students, workers, and businesses.

“The American Jobs Plan will create jobs – it will enable North Carolina to continue growing and fully realize its potential. I am eager to work with the Biden administration to advance this crucial investment in our people.”
