Raleigh, NC – Today, Congresswoman Deborah Ross (NC-02) released the following statement on Congressman David Price’s (NC-04) retirement:

“Congressman Price embodies what it means to be a true public servant – he fights hard every day for the people he represents, and he unfailingly does what’s right even when it’s unpopular,“ said Congressman Ross. “David is a thoughtful leader who for many years has used his position on the powerful House Appropriations Committee to deliver transformative federal investments in North Carolina and to make life better for North Carolina families. Today, we celebrate all that he has accomplished for our state and our community. It has been an honor and a privilege to serve alongside him and learn from him in my first term. We will all miss David dearly in the House and will do our best to build on his formidable legacy by continuing to fight for the causes he championed – from affordable housing to modern infrastructure to democracy reform. Perhaps more importantly, at a time when our politics are often angry and acrimonious, every Member of Congress should also strive to serve with David’s characteristic kindness and personal dignity. I wish David, Lisa, and his entire family the best as they embark on this new chapter.”
