Today, Congresswoman Deborah Ross (NC-02) voted to pass legislation that will provide over $95 billion in funding for critical bipartisan national security priorities, including support for Ukraine, Israel, and our allies in the Indo-Pacific, as well as humanitarian aid for innocent civilians suffering in Gaza and around the world.

“After months of delays caused by House Republicans, I am relieved that the House of Representatives finally came together today in a bipartisan way to pass long-overdue and urgently-needed aid for our allies,” said Congresswoman Ross.

“With this vote, the House has sent a powerful message to our allies and enemies alike – that we will always stand on the side of freedom and democracy and we will never cower before evil forces that seek to unravel global peace and security.

“This legislation will rearm Ukrainian forces waging a heroic fight to save their homeland. In addition, it will give Israel the support it needs following attacks by Hamas and Iran, while also providing billions in assistance to help the innocent people of Gaza. Crucially, the aid we approved today will support our allies in the Pacific as they work to meet the threat posed by China.

“Once again, House Democrats put partisanship aside and put America’s needs first, clearing the way for this critical legislation to be considered and ultimately approved by the House. I was proud to vote to support our allies around the world at this tumultuous moment and urge the Senate to act quickly.”
